Skilling Queenslanders for Work

Work Skills Traineeships offer disadvantaged Queenslanders employment for up to
six months on public works, community, hospitality, retail and environmental projects.

As part of this project, participants undertake formal training and assessment with a
Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which will lead to a nationally recognised
qualification in Work Skills.

MCC provides these Traineeships in the form of a 20 week fulltime paid position. While working in the community centre the trainee’s have the ability to grow and devlop skills related to the community centre running. During this time the trainee’s are able to be upskilled with further external training opportunities and volunteering experience in other organisations.

This Skilling Queenslanders for Work project is proudly funded by the Queensland
Government.
