Distress Brief Support (DBS)

Distress Brief Support (DBS) provides a non-clinical, holistic approach to support clients in distress aims to address a broad range of emotional, social, and practical needs, fostering both immediate relief and long-term stability.

It can provide problem solving supports, wellness and distress management planning. It helps people address difficult circumstances in their lives and equips them with tools and skills to manage future distress.

This program is being run in partnership with Beacon Strategies whose focus is on community engagement and community development.

We have staff located in different service centres across the Tablelands and have recruited for place-based staff for local knowledge and support. You can reach out to our staff at the following centre’s:

  • Better Together Community Support 
  • Ravenshoe Community Centre
  • ECHO Empowering Services 
  • Kuranda Neighbourhood Centre and 
  • Dimbulah Neighbourhood Centre
