Neighbourhood Centre Week 2026 – Pieces of Us with Kate

To celebrate Neighbourhood Centre Week 2026, Mareeba Community Centre is inviting the community to come together under the theme “Your Place to Connect.”

Across the week, MCC will be hosting a range of free, welcoming activities from 10am to 12pm, including Mindful Mandalas on Monday, Drumming with Lee on Tuesday, Spaghetti with Chetty on Wednesday, and Pieces of Us with Kate on Thursday. Each activity is designed to create space for connection, creativity, conversation and community spirit.

The week will finish with our Community Connection Fun Day, held from 12pm to 2pm, with activities including paint and plant, graffiti chalk art, face painting and a sausage sizzle.

Neighbourhood Centre Week is a chance to celebrate the role community centres play in bringing people together, building support networks and creating places where everyone feels welcome. At MCC, we are proud to be a place where people can connect, participate and feel part of their community.
